Remember all the Y2K activity in 1999, with programmers the world over checking that their systems would cope with the extra digits of year, from 99 to 2000? Well, on Wednesday 1st August 2001, Gary becomes 10,000 days old. On Tuesday 31st July he is a mere 9,999 days old.... what will happen at midnight? Will his computerbrain cope? Will he be fully functioning on Wednesday, or experiencing severe digit overflow?
If he is to complete a full system check and be certain that his mind and body work to specification, he needs a comprehensive test plan. To ensure that he hasn't forgotten anything, please email your suggestions to him. What bodily functions, obscure skills and little foibles should he check? What strange things have you seen him do in the past that he should verify still work today? Email him on gary.mellor@bigfoot.com or send him a text message on 07966 178003.
